Global TV's morning show with Lorraine Mansbridge

On Friday March 28, I'll be on Global TV's morning show with Lorraine Mansbridge. The program will be broadcasting from Happy Harbor Comics and Toys in Edmonton, and one of the segments will deal with historical comics. As a long-standing comic geek, this is an opportunity to deal with two of my passions in one go - if we could somehow work in hunting, it would be a hat trick.

Bob Prodor and I will be showcasing some of the early work on Outremer: The Saga of the Knights Templar, a project I put on my to-do list nearly two years ago. Outremer - the French word for overseas - was a name applied to the Crusader States, and the world in which the Templars were born. The comic will be told in a series of four issue stories - the first of which tells the story of the origin of the Knights Templar.
Besides showing off what will certainly be some killer art - Prodor and I will be demonstrating the working relationship between writer and artist - something I'm sure Jay Bardyla (Happy Harbor's owner) will explain in eloquent detail.
The cover art for the first issue was created by Stephen McKim, the talented artist responsible for the cover for Nobly Born.

The 'X' Zone radio show

Christopher Hodapp (author of The Templar Code for Dummies) and I will be talking to Rob McConnell, host of the 'X' Zone Radio Show, on Monday March 17, from 9 - 10 p.m. Pacific Time.

McConnell couldn't have picked a better date to have us on. Sure, it's St. Patrick's Day, but March 18 marks the 694 anniversary of the execution of Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Templars.

Hodapp and I will, of course, be talking about de Molay. but we'll get into greater detail on the Templars and the many myths and conspiracies associated with them.

The 'X' Zone show is heard on the TalkStar Radio Network throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. The 'X' Zone is also available via TalkStar Radio streaming audio at http://www.xzone-radio.com/ and then clicking on the red flashing "ON AIR."

Hope you'll tune in.
